Orlando, Florida (January 26 to 29, 2021): The 2021 68th PGA Merchandise Show was 100% Virtual. Annually held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, this year's show was virtual due to the global Covid-19 pandemic. At the same time, the International Golf Network (ING) which is a non-profit and media-based networking organization) presented the winners of its 27th Annual 2020 ING Media Awards on Friday, January 29, 2021. Mr. Gary Van Sickle (Morning Read), FORE Magazine/SCGA and Met Golfer were some of the top media publications in 2020. Results by category are the following: 1. BUSINESS WRITING: Bill Fields of Pine Straw Magaziine ("The Son Also Rises"), 2. COMPETITION WRITING: Gary Van Sickle of Morning Read ("PGA Tour Reversal: Players Canceled"). 3. EQUIPMENT & APPAREL WRITING: Gary Van Sickle of Morning Read Equipment Insider ("Volvik's Call Looks Marvel-ous"), 4. FEATURE WRITING: Gary D'Amato of Wisconsin Golf ("Do You Believe In Miracles?"), 5. INTERNET VIDEO: Southern California Golf Association Rules Crew ('The Godfather Redux"), 6. OPINION/EDITORIAL: Tina Mickelson of FORE Magazine ("First Cut: What Are You Wearing?"), 7. PODCAST: Jonathan Coe of SCGA Quarantine Chronicles ("Chirs Harrison Interview"), 8. PROFILE WRITING: Adam Schupak of Met Golfer ("Passion Project"), 9. PUBLICATIONS: Jeff Neuman, Editor, of Met Golfer ("June/July 2020 Issue"), 10. During the 2021 PGA Merchandise Show, New Products usually are the most intruiging portion of the presentations. Some examples include the following six (6) areas from golf equipments, golf navigation and other accessories. 1. SHOT SCOPE V3: This UK based company introduced the V3 which is a GPS watch that pairs with sensors in the equipment to track performance as well as GPS information on the watch; 2. BUSHNELL PHANTOM 2: Bushnell Golf launched the Phantom 2 GPS device with advanced features to include movable pin placements, GreenView distances and "Dynamic Green Monitoring" which provides distance based on the line of play. It salso features a magnet leveraging "BITE Technology". 3. ALTAZ LCD PANEL RANGEFINDER: this looks like an old camcorder design that features an foldable side LCD screen which is well suited for people who prefer this view. This is specifically for golfers wearing glasses and/or sunglasses. 4. SIK GOLF PUTTERS: this is the current 2020 US Open Champion, Bryson DeChambeau's putter of choice with the descending loft technology. 5. WILSON GOLF D9 IRONS: featuring a new intelligent design. Wilson also signed new PGA Tour professional John Augenstein with the following equipment: W Labs 3 wood and Utility 3-iron, Wilson Staff Model 4-iron, Wilson Staff model blades 5 to 9 and Wilson Staff Model Wedges 52 and 56 degrees. 6. BRIDGESTONE E12 CONTACT GOLF BALLS: at a retail price of about $US30.00 per dozen, this new golf ball features a unique contact-force dimple design which Bridgestone claims gives about 38% more contact between the club and the ball resulting in staighter and longer shots.
