Las Vegas, Nevada (November 4 to 8, 2019): The Annual 2019 SEMA and AAPEX Shows kicked off on Sunday evening, November 3, 2019 with an welcome press conference for the AAPEX Show at the Sands Convention Center. Highlights of the reception included the very definition of the various purpose of each show in lay man's terms, i.e. SEMA being the premier aftermarket and tuning trends in the automotive industry whereas AAPEX focuses on the various moving parts that keep the automobile running, i.e. components the maintain and proper the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) as well as the connected car and cybersecurity. Thereafter, on Monday night, November 4, 2019, during the 2019 SEMA Vehicle reveal event, two very important announcements were made: 1. 2019 SEMA Vehicles of the Year and 2. Press Introduction of the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray with special guest, Mr. Ron Fellows, a long-time Corvette racing aficianado. For 2019, SEMA Show Exhibitors voted the vehicles that best business opportunities for the aftermarket in five (5) categories. The winners were: 1. SEMA Car of the Year: Ford Mustang; 2. SEMA Truck of the Year: Chevrolet Silverado; 3. SEMA 4x4/SUV of the Year: Jeep Wrangler; 4. SEMA Sport Compact of the Year: Audi RS3; and finally, 5. SEMA Powersports Vehicle of the Year: Polaris RZR. The SEMA annual Vehicles of the Year Awards create awareness for the aftermarker products and emphasize the ongoing collaboration SEMA has with autmobile manufacturers and aftermarket companies to continue to bring high quality products to the consumer market since its founding in 1963. This year's SEMA show hosted more than 150,000 attendees including over 70,000 buyers, 2,400 exhibitors and 3,300 journalists. The 2019 SEMA Show was highlighted with the following: 1. The introduction of the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the first revolutionary shift from its longstanding history of  being a front engine to a mid-engine vehicle, during the SEMA Monday night reveal as mentioned above. At same time, the racing version of the 2020 Corvette was also introduced called the Corvette CR-8 during the same event; 2. The 2020 ORD MUSTANG LITHIUM by WEBASTO was revealed as a concept car boasting 900HP and 1000 ft-lb of torque and even comes with a six (6) speed manual transmission, probably the first of its kind in an all electric vehicle. It is interesting that even in the long history of the SEMA Show which generally emphasizes aftermarket and tuning of the ICE, the first all EV  was introduced in the Ford booth indicating the sign of the times and zero emissions are probably here to stay in the present and the near future; 3. The 2020 Toyota SUPRA gets modified nine (9) ways and introduced as nine concept vehicles at the Toyota booth. Six (6) of the Supra concept vehicles from mild to wild were displayed at the Toyota booth; 3. SPEEDKORE revealed its 1525HP all wheel drive twin-turbo Dodge Charger starting with a 2019 model with a widebody kit and accompanied with a Dodge Demon engine and a Hellraiser transmission; 4. 2019 Dodge Challenger was stolen, crashed in a hit-and-run incident with a trooper patrol car and still made it to the 2019 SEMA Show at the PROCHARGER booth after Nevada Highway Patrol apprehended the thief in Las Vegas. The 1000HP Challenger from Quintin Brothers Auto and Perfomance in Vermont and was stolen in an overflow casino parkng lot near the convention center. Thereafter, the rest was history. And finally, 5. Mr. John Hennessey, principal and owner of HENNESSEY PERFORMANCE (HPE), introduced the GOLIATH 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 6x6 Truck on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. The 2019 Silverado was revamped by adding an additional axle at the rear and replacing with a new suspension system. The end result was the GOLIATH with a new 6x6 truck bed, 37-inch off road tires and a 20-inch Hennessey rims with a 450HP engine upgrade. Additionally, Mr. Hennessey announced that the the SHELL Rotella Gas Truck full synthetic engine oil would be the official engine oil of all gas trucks and SUVs modified at HPE.
